3 WAYS TO EXTEND YOUR MANICURE

A chip in your fresh manicure is a heart breaker in a league of its own. But that’s no reason to stop painting your nails in the season’s hottest shades. Even the best nail colours chip faster than promised and running errands only speed up the fading. There’s no magic wand, but little tricks can make your painted nails last longer. Here are our three easy manicure must-dos to try at home...

Colour Coat

Adding base coat and top coat is mandatory. While a sticky base coat primes your nails, top coats seal the colour. Everyone knows the two coats of paint rule, but we recommend you wait till the next day and apply a third coat followed by top coat. The extra layer adds a glossier look and lasts longer and you won’t have to worry about removing your nail polish every two days.

Tip Topped

Most of us apply nail paint upto the edge of our nails. As it turns out, that is just the way to end up with chipped paint. Sweep your polish, as well as your base and top coats, into the inner edge of your nails. Wait for each coat to settle before you apply the next. Once done, wait for a few minutes and dip your hands into icy water. The cold will seal the colour better than any amount of blowing on your nails.

After Care

No polish will last a week if you put your manicured nails straight to work. Household work and even simple acts like pressings your nails too hard on a keyboard can take the edge off your favourite nail paint. Even if it’s tedious, wear rubber gloves when doing dishes or running other errands. Don’t press nails on anything and find someone without a manicure to open soda cans.

Girls it's WEEKEND Time to Pamper Your-Self...

# Take a bath. Taking a bath relaxes you and gets you clean. You could put candles around if you want. To add even more spa day touch put some sweet smelling oils in your bath.

# Apply a face and body scrub. You can mix baking soda and water till it's paste. Paint it on and let it sit for a couple minutes. Then rinse it off.

# Dry off and moisturize. Air dry yourself if it's possible. Then moisturize with some nice smelling lotions.

# Put on your face mask. You can buy or make one. To make one, mix 1/4 cup of sugar, 1-2 tablespoons of softened butter, and 3 tablespoons of honey in a microwavable container. Put the mix in the microwave for 10-15 seconds. Last, mix until it's smooth, not runny. Slap it on your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Use an icy washcloth to wipe it off.

# Put your feet in warm water and let them sit for 10 minutes. When you're finished dry them on a towel and rub them with lotion. Dab lotion on a cotton ball and put them between your toes. Let them sit for 5 minutes.
# While your feet are in water, let your hands soak in lemon juice and warm milk. Soak them for 10 minutes.

# Clip your nails on your toes and fingers. Don't clip them to far. The white bit it a good mark to stop at.
#  Paint your toes and fingers. Get someone else to paint them if you can. Sometimes it can be hard to do yourself. Before you paint them you can push back you cuticles. Let them dry for 20 minutes to be safe.

#  Dry your self completely. Then get into your pajamas or some comfy clothes. Curl up and read a book  or watch a movie.

Simple Tips For Manicure At home

A Simple To Do-Home Manicure:

Things You Require:

For your manicure, take a small bowl of warm, soapy water.A small hand towel, a nail file, cotton wool, coconut oil for moisturising, nail polish remover, and polish. It is much nicer to prefer pink and pearlised shades, for the daytime.Nail polish is best applied before you go to bed so that you do not have to worry about badly kept nails in the morning.Purple, violet and other dark shades, are a bit too extreme for formal dressing, but if you find that they suit your personality, as a lady with a mind of her own, please go ahead! After all, individual tastes, differ

Manicure Steps:

A.First, remove your older nail polish and then file your nails.Long nails are best suited to people with long slim fingers, and if you have short, sturdy singers, please make sure that your nails are shaped to an oval, and not more than 1/16 th of an inch past the fingertip.

B.Next, soak your hands in the soapy water, for 2 minutes.Press back the cuticles, very gently with your towel. They are very delicate, and need moisturising. To remove any soap deposit, wipe your nails again with nail polish remover.

C.Apply a base coat, beginning with the thumb.Base coats are normally transparent nail polishes, which are either strengtheners, or just present to stop the chemical products of the nail polish, to yellow your nails.

D.After it has dried, apply nail polish.Use only 2 light coats, allowing the first to dry completely before applying the second.

E.Finally, when the polish is completely dry, massage the coconut oil/ Almond oil/ olive oil into your hands up to the wrist.
A manicure once a week keeps your hands feeling good.As it is always preferable to use natural products, rather than expensive creams and moisturisers, go back to nature and every night, use a bit of milk cream, or milk as a natural moisturiser.A little bit of salt added to it will bleach your hands beautifully.

If you have to use your hands for washing up, gardening, or any work which needs hand care, it is always best to use hand gloves. And if you think that it is too tiresome, what is to stop you from oiling your hands too well, with coconut oil, or milk, and then washing up? For gardening, always make sure that little soap pieces are placed under your nails, so that dirt does not get caught between fingertips and nails.

Remember that very hot and very cold water is disastrous for hands.Make sure, the water is at room temperature. In the winters, it is always preferable to wash your face and hands in cold water, to keep the naturally moisturising oil in, but make sure, you apply some oil after a wash.
